IMPORTANT: Correct placement of the brass plug into the bottle is essential.

When opening the package containing the wick and cap, they appear as below (plastic covering has been removed for clarity)

The brass plug is actually upside-down and should not be directly inserted into the bottle this way. The rubber o-rings need to be facing down so the brass plug fits into the bottle properly.

To prepare the wick for the bottle simply slide the brass plug down to the other end of the wick, then turn the wick upside-down. The wick and plug should now show as below:

Remove the plastic wrap from the wick and seat the wick assembly into the bottle.

You may have to remove one or both of the o-rings to get the brass plug to fit snugly. When seated properly the o-rings should not be visible above the bottle rim

The optimum wick height is ½” – ¾” extending out of the bottle
